No my firm died last week and all those who worked there have lost their jobs.
I thought aha a chance to do something different
But I have been offered a job by someone with whom I last worked with 15 or so years ago, working for a large global company with all the stuff like pension, bonus, sick pay, 5 weeks holiday a year and the same wage as I have been getting.
And someone who likes me as an imediate boss
Its boring but keeps the roof over our heads for certain mmmmmmmmmmmmmm heart says no head says yes.

Yes Adam work is boring. When you do it for a hobby its fine...making a living at it is something rather different.

Ah Newguy thanks for the support you should have heard my conversations with Diane 20 years ago, they went something like, I said England has had it and lets go to either Canada/New Zealand or Australia................she said Canada is too cold Australian men think they are better than women (loose translation) and New Zealand is old fashioned like England in the fifties

Back to the engine.
After running it in by not thrashing it It smoked a bit on start up initially but this is now not a problem (but anyone that was around in the 70,s knows that a burn up was preceded by a puff of blue smoke).
It has tremendous torque and powers up to beyond the national limit very very quickly.
Acceleration is strong and urgent.

When I first ran the engine it was a little smokey (blue = oil) on startup and gradually that has got less and less, thoughts gents?
I presumed it was the rings needing bedding in to give a good seal, I did not fit new ex stem seals because I would rather have a little smoke than a hung valve, not that I have suffered one yet.

Aint never going there old Southern Hemishere buddy as I made the block brace for total reliability not total brutality
My guess is that it might hit 7000 at Combe but it only has a Piper 270 in it and not an STR91.

Well when it does 7000rpm take a picture, i saw 6500rpm the other day, she won't be going back there again.
