...a Stag to put back together. Initial research shows Dolomite parts to be comparatively cheap!! |

Good luck with that one A friend and I acquired a Stag a couple of years ago; let's say it wasn't an entirely happy experience. I do have some parts though - bumpers for rechroming, rear hubs and half shafts for reconditioning. Was intending to put them on the 'bay at some point but let me know if you're interested at all. |

Dave, No idea, it's on an L plate. Apart from the fact my pal's ex wife pushed it out of the garage so she could put the patio furniture inside and it over wintered on the drive with the roof down, it's in good condition. Needs some welding doing to the floor before refitting the interior. I'm not putting Dolomite parts onto it. |

If its L reg it will be mk1 or mk1.5,its surprising how meany parts are the same with dolomites good luck Dave |

Dave,
AlunNo idea, it's on an L plate. If all original the front head rests dont stick up like the ones in a dolomite, on a Mk1 they fit into to back rest of the seat - some people add Mk2 parts eg seat as they look better. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j ... SqSvMn8PLg If I sell my sprint which I am considering doing, I would buy a stag purely for that engine note cannot beat the sound of a V8. Paul |

Different firing order on the stag makes for a better burble than the rover IMO. In a perverse sucker for punishment type way, if I was to V8 a sprint I'd build a stag lump for it (then go mental lol) Tony |

An L plater is probably an early mk2 or a "transition" Stag with a mix of features... Bit of a shame being parked outside with the roof down for a while....that won't help. Keep me posted... I dream of resurrecting mine... Jonners |

He has also fitted a Stag V8 into his Triumph 2000 Mk1 estate A bit of a legend is Neil, username on the Stag forum is 'flying farmer'. He has got nearly 250BHP out of his last TV8 rebuild and is now attempting to better that with his next: http://socforum.com/forum/showthread.ph ... the-limits Cheers Keith |

Neil really has stuck with the Triumph V8 when so many have written it off. I do have the pleasure of seeing him and his cars regularly, in fact I'll probably see him Thursday. |
