Vitesse possibly?

They do look familiar though. I remember a lovely old chap who was in the TDC who replaced his Dolomite for a 2000 (for power steering and auto) It was a primrose yellow and was iirc a south-african import. That had a different set of trims on it.

Or MK2 Stag. Looks also to be fitted to the 2000 range.

There are several different sorts of these for different model applications. whilst all look superficially similar, one size definitely DOESN'T fit all as i've learned to my cost!

They are all fitted to 13" steel rims, but there the similarity ends as different models have different offset (et) and a trim can either fit, not fit at all, or protrude too far.

They were fitted to MkI and MkII 2.5 PI, Steel wheeled Stag, Vitesse MkII and GT6 MkII between 1968 and 1973.

If you are REALLY lucky they are TR5, and therefore worth a very tidy sum....

I think the flying arsehole in the centre rules out TR5 and Mk I 2000...?

Stag is probably the answer as I found them in Jon Tilson's shed.

13" Steve? Doesn't the Stag and 2000 have 14" wheels?

They are mk1 stag trims. The centres would have originally been painted black.

Sorry, wasn't wearing my specs
Many 2000s run on 13" wheels, not sure when the change to 14" happened.

Of all the various 2000 models only the 2500S had 14” wheels,
these being five spoke alloys.
All other 2000s had 13” wheels.

Stags all came with 14” wheels, early being steel c/w “Rostyle” trims,
later came alloys, these in fact being shared with the 2500S.
The 2.5PI also had “Rostyle” trims but in 13” size.

I have a picture of my old 2.5PI estate with the 13" trims on.

Early production MkI Stags came with 13" rims, not sure when they changed to 14s

I'd forgotten the TR5, which of course had 15" rims. The trims for these, as stated, are SUPER rare as, not only are TR5s rather thin on the ground (less than 6000 produced? and most for export) but most buyers opted for wires on the option list. I have seen a few though over the years.

An ol;d friend had a MK1 PI estate (much much rarer than a TR5!! only 200 or so made, 20 odd still about)
He bought a set of TR5 rostyle trims/wheels so he could use 15" tyres, back then they cost him £300 but were mint. Dread to think what they are worth now...

It was the shared with the Stag alloys that made me think 14"

So, would Sprint alloys fit a 2000, or is the PCD different?
