Where will you go in Scotland? I'm in Troon on the west coast south of Glasgow.

Gentlemen,

As I mentioned earlier, our flight out is just a few days away now.

Thanks for all the posts and personal messages with advice, all of which is very much appreciated and much of which I've taken on board. I appreciate the invitations too, but please don't think I'm rude for not accepting, its just that our schedule is really full with something planned for each day. The reason for this is.....
12 years ago we toured the UK and made the mistake of not having a plan nor did we book any accommodation. We just got in our rental car and went for it. We ended up not seeing half of what we would have liked to have seen, because we spent half of each day looking for a bed for the night. So, this time I made sure that we have a well planned route with activities and sights along the way and a bed at the end of each day.

HOWEVER..... Even before we get there, we've already planned a return trip. In 2021 to see the GB F1 GP at Silverstone. Its been promised to me that this trip will be all things motoring and I hope to organise some Dolly connections for then.

Again a great big "THANK YOU" all for your advice, suggestions and good wishes.

WooHooo....Look out UK, here we come.

Cheers,
Rob

Rob, where will you be this coming Wednesday (the 7th)? You could make the next West Yorkshire meeting if you're going to by anywhere nearby. Hope you enjoy your visit over here and watch out for the numpties who can't drive. I seem to cop for quite a few of them if my dashcam videos are anything to go by.

We'll be in the air, somewhere between Sydney and Taipei about that time. This afternoon we put our dogs in their "resort" and then head off to Canberra (3 hour drive), where, after an overnight stop, we catch a coach for Sydney airport (another 3.5hours). Ahhhh...... the pleasure/reality of living in regional rural Australia.
Our flight path from Taipei to London takes us over Siberia, so we'll be keeping our fingers crossed that we don't meet any Buk missiles.

You can all breath a sigh of relief knowing that this will be my last message on the forum for about 2 months.
Again, I'd like to thank you all for your advice in helping to make this trip for us just that little bit better. Its much appreciated.
When we return, we start preparing for a week long (Inter) National tour/festival in Albury in the NSW/VIC border region. I expect our SPRINT will be the only one there.

Thanks again & Cheers,
Rob
