I am going to be buying an 8'x6' garden shed soon and was wondering if anyone has used one of these recycled plastic bases before?

https://www.plasticshedbase.co.uk/shed- ... x-6ft.html

I was going to just lay a concrete base but words like environment, sustainable, carbon footprint & recycling kept entering my mind. :D

If you have used them, are they ok, easy to lay etc.

A chap in my village used them, but he wished he had'nt as he didnt prepare a solid base :( They have to be laid on a firm prepared base as concrete does. Good point is, they are a lot cheaper than concrete :D Lay them on a good base Mart and they will be ok 8)

Tony.

I can see the wisdom in these; lightweight, easy to transport, carry, easy to lay, re-useable, allow better drainage - significant to those of us who live in areas prone to flooding. A lot less of a faff than concrete.

I used old fence posts on a hardcore base that was already there, used panels from the fence as a 'skirt' on the shed so I done my bit and recycled and it was free, and this was before recycling was spoken about.

As for the plastic trays, nope never seen them before and don't know anyone that would use them.

Hi

Used them on top of grass as a base for my small tool store, works a treat.

Regards

Barry
