I have been offered a 1980 Triumph Dolomite Sprint. Fab condition and lots of history with it. I would like to buy it but unsure how much it's worth. Couple of small blisters on back bonnet and passenger door bottom. Other than that fab outside and inside.

Done 60K new MOT and hoses and brakes.

This is for me to keep.

Please advise ?

If it is in original condition and you can get it for under 10K that would be a good price.

It's very difficult to give a valuation without seeing the car, but original unrestored cars in good condition seem to command the top prices.

I think the market is a bit flat at the moment, but a similar car to what you are describing sold for 10K 2-3 years ago, and values have definitely gone up since then.

Have you had a good look under the car? Make certain the chassis legs are solid and the boot floor. There are lots of places that a Dolomite can and will rust in so have a good look before you make a purchase.

Where exactly are you ?, if as your name suggest you our in the Hampshire area then we have a few Dolly enthusiasts in the area, i am sure one of us locally to you would be happy to view the car with you if you want a second opinion. If not see if you can get some pictures and post on here, will be a lot easier to make an honest assessment.

I'm in North Hants as well and am happy to help out inspecting.
