Welcome.

Club spares offer fully reconditioned callipers with new mild steel pistons, new bolts, seals and bleed nipples, bright zinc plated for £102.00 inc outward UK postage on an exchange basis. I understand the closest any other company comes to this price is on the basis of painted rather than plated calliper bodies; most suppliers are significantly more expensive.

The 1300 fwd callipers are different to Dolomite callipers: whilst both are Girling 'Type 14' the 1300 fwd only have three bolts whilst the Dolomite has 4.

We do have a pair of 1300 fwd callipers in the core pile awaiting reconditioning, and for an extra stainless steel pistons can be used in the build. Turn around would be about a fortnight from point of order. A quotation for stainless pistons can be sourced for you.

We do have to levy a £30.00 surcharge on 1300 FWD callipers as many 1300 FWD are now fitted with Dolomite callipers, the 1300 version being significantly rarer; if you provide a pair of 3 bolt callipers in exchange, the surcharge is refunded.

Thank you. My car is very original and I would like to have my originals reconditioned and returned. Is this possible?

Could you let me know how much extra it would be for the stainless steel pistons?
Cheers
If it were a Dolomite, the answer would be no, as we get several sets done at once and the bodies are split and sent to the platers en masse so we can't guarantee that the same pairs would be re matched. As your pair would likely be the only three bolt pair going through the process, then yes, it is possible (so long as there are no serious faults with your callipers that prevent reconditioning).

I can get a quote for stainless pistons on Monday

Apparently stainless pistons would be £6.00 extra each, so £24.00 for the pair of callipers, making a total of £126.00.

I'll PM you my address to send them to if you want to proceed...
