Why is it that not many Sprints have the "laurel " typr stickers on the bonnet once restored . The sprint I just got has a brand new set ,unfitted in the plastic still . Is it because they are naff? or rare?

They were never fitted to the cars when new, so why fit them now I guess?

Saying that, there was a fad in the late 80's/early 90's to put one on the bonnet of just about anything that Triumph made.

I had one on the bonnet of my Dolomite 1300. I think Rimmer Bros sold a fair few of them back then for this purpose.

The last set that completed its listing on eBay (November) fetched £70. Make of that what you will. In answer to your questions; possibly. 8)

Doesn't Benny have a wreath on his car? Can you perhaps put the transfers on magnetic backing so that they can be removed unless it's Christmas?

My Sprint has a wreath on the bonnet and 2 smaller ones on the sides. I quite like them though I probably won't bother when the car gets restored.

Its marmite, when Sarah bought her 1500HL the first thing I done was to remove the laurel from the bonnet.
