Rust under the battery, and along the chassis legs in general.

Rust in the rear wheel arches and floor panels

Rust in the windscreen surround, and under the doors, especially if the holes have been blocked at any time.

Rust in the corners of the boot, especially behind the spare wheel

Rust in the front panel and behind mudflaps if it has them fitted.

How well the doors shut. What the gaps are like between them.

Presence of body plates and that they look right for the vehicle (some one else can tell you what 1300 ones hsould be like)

Previous repairs, especially if badly done.

If you drive it, wear/play in steering components and rear end play when driving over bumps. Is it RWD?

Does it have an MOT or is it a resto?

club sills available from alun .
don't forget to look for rust ,lift the carpets and check where the gearbox tunnell sits on top of the chassis leg , boot floor joins with wheel arch and up inside the front wings as well as all the bits david mentioned.
engine/gearboxes are pretty much bullet proof but are easy to get hold off anyway.

Don't forget to check for rust in the vent panel just above the rear windscreen.
