Brilliant news Russ. Any advisories or was it a clear run? I really thing she looks like a cracking car. I love the colour and haven't actually seen a Tolly in yellow before. Suits it! More photos please :D

Did you make any progress on the engine?
Once again well done

Sorry folks, I've been away in Germany with work.

Purple..The only advisory I was told was that the rear right indicator will need replacing in about 6 months, other then that a clear run :) And I will get more pics up once I've done a bit more work ;)

Phil - I do need the engine, I will get back to you ASAP.

Could always be cut out! It's quiet straightforward seeing as you've already stripped the car.

Undo engine mounting bolts for the engine, undo propshaft bolts and lift  Yopu might actually want to do that the other way round

Make sure all the wires and hoses are undo to.

Get big grinder and chop the front end off. Easy.

Hey Phil, We can drop the whole engine/box/subframe/prop out in one go

Can you Plus Gas the 4 subframe nuts/bolts and the 4 prop bolts as it will make things easier 8)

Hope to get over this week but it will be a spur of the moment thing if I can finish work and still get over to you with a bit of daylight left

I'm coming to pick then Engine up on Saturday, many thanks to Phil :D

Some more newbie questions now..how do I go about getting her taxed? Having never owned a car older then me..:p

I was looking on the DVLA website, and they seem to base it all on emissions, but since my car was exempt from emissions tests, what do I do?

I've only ever had one car, as you might tell :p

To get it taxed, you need your MOT, Insurance Certificate and V5, and then you can go down to the post office and get the disc. Alternatively you can go to http://www.vehiclelicense.gov.uk, and as long as your MOT was one of the electronical ones (It almost certainly was) the DVLA have all of your details and you can tax it online, although this won't be ideal as the disk will take a couple of days to come.
