 Post subject: steering fault

hi all just got my dolly in for pre mot check and brake pad change and mechanic says theres play in steering rack now panicking as dont know what the hell is wrong can it be adjusted out or am i doomed to buy a new rack if so how much and where seriously concerned any help or technical advise much appreciated :oops:

It's usually the rack mounts, they do wear out...
You could try tightening them up or replacing with a poly alternative.

RimmerBros and about £15 for a pair I expect.
Bare in mind that Dollys have 'loose' racks in general and MOT testers usually point it out because they're used to boring moderns.
