Lots of Dolomites, a Toledo and a 1300FWD took part in the RBRR this year. A good show from the Dolomite fraternity.
Here's my blog of our trip in the "Flying Log" my 1500HL....

Excellent write up, looked like you had a great time & the log behaved itself, most of the time.

Loved the photo of the Gt6, sheep & the stag

Well done, you must have been absolutely knackered at the end.

I really quite fancy giving this a go in 2 years time.

:D Enjoyed your write up.
Didn't make it to John O'Groats this time as I was working (nightshift).
Some of the cars I recognise, I think every time I've been to JoG for a RBRR I have seen Nigel Gair's 2000.

Staff late at Lands End? That is shocking really, they should have been there 3 hours before the breakfasts were due to be served.
As I was taught "Fail to prepare and you prepare to fail"!

A small correction... the 33rd photo is actually in Sutherland to the West not the East of Thurso. In the 90s, when I had a Sprint, this bit of the A836 was single track,
I have drove along there scores of times in that car, the exhaust used to bottom out on the bridge at Baligal  creating sparks visible in the dark.
There did used to be a roadsign just west of Thurso the warning of S-bends for 56 miles!
It is just not the same now it has been improved :) .

If I may be so bold,
I suggest that an article for Dolly Mixture is in order........

Ian.
