ive done a few shows at Blakemere. The field is behind the shops near to the main road on a hill so gets plenty of wind.
You will need to put plenty of signs out if you want people to come and see the cars otherwise they will just walk or drive right past to the shops
Having said that it is a good place to visit.

A good craft centre and an excellent antique section.
We should fit in really well.

One of the new ones will probably be green, very green.
Another new one is green too but not as green as the previous one. Still pretty green. No, now it's Blue.
The other new one will be white with stripes. Actually it might not. No, it will be.

The main purpose of this event is to give our members (and guests) a chance to meet up and socialise, it is not about putting on a show for the general public. However, if visitors to Blakemere want to pop over to admire the cars, that's no bad thing at all, they'll be made very welcome indeed.

By sheer chance, we visited Blakemere today, and only found out about the rally being there when we saw a poster advertising upcoming events, including TDCIR.

Somebody has also created a Facebook event page for it.
So far, I'm the only one going. :bluewave:

Here's an attempt to post a link to it (hope it's OK to post a link Mr. Admin Sir).

Not a problem Tony. I'm hoping my 1850 will be ready well before then. I don't think it will look much different than it did at last year's TDCIR. Cosmetics aren't exactly top priority...

It's only 5 miles from me so I'm planning on being there no matter how far along I am with the car....even if I have to trailer it there.....

For the second year running, TDCIR coincides with my holiday week in the caravan at Burnham on sea! I made it last year despite having to drive home 120 miles, pick up the Carledo and drive it to Bromsgrove then reverse the procedure for the return journey in the evening. But last year I had a car to borrow to come home in, this year I don't think i'll be so lucky! Gutted to miss it!!!!

I just hope I can make it over the speed humps in the entrance driveway.
They were pretty bad even for my daily driver.

All you lowrider types take note.

Is anyone coming up for this from the Burnham on sea/ Weston super mare area (or further south on the M5) If so, I'd be grateful for a lift up to Shropshire from Burnham (only a small detour) so I can pick up my car and attend and the reverse in the evening. Gas money on offer!
