Whilst we all love to see nice shiny cars, the reality of owning/running a classic is that you spend quite a lot of time renovating, repairing or fettling them, so a practical display like this seems far more relevant and interesting. Also, the display of replacement panels shows owners or potential owners what's available and the quality of these parts so they can assess the viability of owning or repairing one of our cars. Hopefully, wider knowledge of repair panel availability might save a few borderline cars from being scrapped. Good work guys!

You can see me beavering away on the rear brakes and Mahesh was holding the worklight. We tried to bleed them with the drums off creating more work but it was a blessing in disguise because we cleaned up the so-called "self adjusters" that had to be manually adjusted and freed off the wheel cylinders which are supposed to have some back and forth movement on the back plate. Those U-shaped clips were a pig to fit but as always, we prevailed in the end. A shame we didn't have chance to get the engine started even though we'd freed off the pistons in the carburettors (the rear one was seized) and Andy had a new battery.

Steve, you should've got the bigger LED worklight from Aldi. I bagged myself one and it is great. You can't go wrong at £4.99. I like your idea of fitting a USB socket to be able to charge rechargeable batteries. Everyone is raving about the Workzone tools from Aldi so I'd definitely recommend them too.
