For anyone who hasn't been it's a great little air museum. The Victor is AWESOME!
Well worth the money!

Is this open to just club members or can forum members attend, if so, how do I get the paperwork to do so?

Went to see Elvington site manager last week. We have so far 15 members / cars attending. We will be parked in centre, adjacent to one of the large hangars and on a patch of tarmac where some historic vehicles parked on display. Just a few yards from entrance barrier, turn right where the display Spitfire stands. You will need to show your entry pass to get in without further charge. Late comers welcome but you will have to pay on the gate.

Hi,

Are tickets / entries still being accepted for this event?

I'd like to go but don't know how to apply.

According to Steve W's post, just above yours, it looks as though you will now have to pay at the gate and possibly full price. Originally we payed Steve directly the discounted admission and he forwarded the tickets on to us after he made the booking.

Hope that helps and I hope you are able to make it.

Just returned from the Northern Dolly Day at Elvington Air Museum.
Thank you to the organisers, I had a lovely time. Great venue, interesting cars & aeroplanes plus good company.

A few snaps from the day.

Nice pictures, and thanks to Steve W for arranging this great venue. I for one will be going back for another visit.

The visit for me also had a massive coincidence in that after our guided tour broke up I bumped into Harry, the guide, in the Dokota. We got talking and we found that although we didn't recognise each other initially we had worked at the same place, Plessey and our jobs meant we would have had some contact. He also worked more with my Dad and was at one time in his department. He went on to admit to forging my Dads signature on several occasions. We talked about old colleagues etc well into the afternoon and then I got a one on one guide of the Halifax Bomber, the most successful one made.

A great day.

I second what you said about Steve and the setting was great, combined with a good turnout of cars.
Hopefully we can build upon this for next year.
