I'm looking at this as a possible purchase, I've found the restoration thread on here and one about it running rough at one time but the Car is 300 miles from me so could anybody help with info.
Thanks.

The car was owned by a former girlfriend of mine prior to its restoration; it was solid enough then, but has had at least three owners since; the middle one had the work done and the current one has seemingly cherished it. Prior to Susie owning it, it had a long term elderly lady owner (I'll not upset anyone by declaring how much Susie 'won' the car for on ebay at the time, but I suspect it has had more than the difference spent on it since!)

Having seen the car in September of this year, were I in the market for an 1850HL, I would give this vehicle primary consideration. If you can afford the asking price, it will be well worth the trip to view.

I have no interest in the sale of the car

Thanks for that, bit concerned about arranging a 300 mile trip to view with a buy it now button on the ad. Gives me some thinking to do.

Had a long chat with the owner who has taken it off sale pending me travelling to view. Fingers crossed it'll be coming home with me. :D

Wow you ARE dedicated xvivalve, even your girlfriends had Dolomites!! Though I notice it is EX girlfriend..

My wife still occasionally refers back to the time I first took her out and turned up in my 1500HL with what she describes as the Flintstones car. Harsh... I have given up telling her that the hole is designed to be there in the footwell.
