4 speed manual with overdrive

Restored with donor shell in 2011 by MadMart of this very forum. His restorations are highly regarded as being second to none.

Remedial repairs carried out in my ownership by Restoshack to keep up the fantastic condition (photos of repairs can be provided, all metalwork was repaired properly).
No patching/welding on floor, all rust free and in very good condition.
Bodywork is very good. There are some paint imperfections that would need addressing to make it perfect. Vinyl roof is also in great condition.

Mechanically it is in very good condition and is very reliable. In my ownership it has taken me all over the country to shows and events without any problems. I have just completed a 350 mile round trip during the hottest weekend of the year with no problems.

Interior is also very good condition including seats. The wood was all refurbished when restored and is still fantastic. The carpet is in very good condition apart from around the gearstick where it is showing some wear. All equipment works as it should, the only exception being the RHR door handle that is temperamental about operating.

Modifcations that have been carried out to the vehicle are:
Brand new GAZ adjustable (height and damping) coilovers with Rimmers lowering springs
Lumintion Electronic ignition
Stainless steel ‘sports’ exhaust
‘Trackerjack’ upgraded front brakes (vented discs using larger calipers)
Halogen bulb headlamps
Modern fusebox
Larger capacity radiator
Alloy carb mounts
Polybushed front subframe
Goodridge ‘Classic’ braided brake and clutch hoses
Momo Prototipo steering wheel
Compomotive CX alloy wheels (13x6J) (Refurbed in grey) with Yokohama A359 tyres
Mk1 Golf front spoiler
Bumper removal

All original cosmetic parts are provided with the car including steering wheel, bumpers, alloy wheels and front spoiler. All are in good condition. The only items required to put it back to standard appearance would be the coachline decals. Last 2 photos show it in 'original' form.

All the mechanical upgrades have been carried out with the best quality components and have been done with the intention of improving reliability, safety and handling.
Equally any parts that have required replacement during my ownership have been replaced with quality parts and I have a log of all repairs carried out.

Looking for offers around £8000, may be willing to take less for a quick sale as I've already got my eye on something new!
