What would shipping be, £3k?

Edit: Just had a look, £850, much less than I expected. So that's a tidy rust free original paintwork seam sealed Sprint, for £3760. There would no doubt be import taxes etc. Then all you need to do is go on ebay and buy yourself a V5 (jokes!) and engine/gearbox...

Plus import taxes/NOVA fee as it'll becoming from outside the EU!

Ah, but technically it is being re-imported! That probably would not wash with HMRC even if it is the case. I read that it's 10% of the cars value at import, plus normal rate VAT on the total, unless it is 'collectors' car, which would not apply.

No idea why I've looked, I have no intention of importing it! :)

Ease up on the politics please, this is one place I can avoid it.

I spoke to a friend of mine who has imported a few cars. you can claim historic vehicle status which can reduce the import duty etc. no import duty would be payable if the original owner who exported it then re-imported it.

I also find it annoying when I look on classic car sites in America and see a 1960s sports car that was exported before VAT was even thought of and you have to pay VAT on its import.

I think this car may be worth importing although I cant see the photos as yet.
