On the number plate front, I have some experience here, having sold several plates over the years.
The last one I sold (in 2017) was 123 RPC, which was valued by Regtransfers, a nationally known and respected company, at £3000. After nearly 2 years with no bites at all, I let it go for £1500 and considered myself lucky to get that, my own personal estimate was £1250! J2 SCG made £425 in 2016.
In general, I think the market in cherished numbers is falling, it's really just a bit of vanity for folk who can afford it. And there are currently fewer and fewer of THOSE around!
