Very interesting.

So did anyone ever track down the shell? I wonder what year Mr. Edgington (Paul?) got hold of the running gear. It seems unclear as to whether Mr. Maxy sold the shell and running gear separately, or whether a later owner split them. Either way it is a real shame.

Also, did Arthur ever get a Dolomite?

That's how I remember seeing it, sat on the drive with trees overhanging onto the roof. Where these photos from the club magazine in 1994?

When were the final two photos taken? It doesn't look quite so bad after a wash.

Is Robin Maxey still alive then? He must have been well into his 60's when I met him in 1998. It seems strange that he kept hold of some of the parts from the car and the V5.
