The convoy up was great, 2 sprints a pi and my stag.Quite a sedate drive until Lee sorted out his fuel pressure problem then WHOOOOOSHHHHHH, off he went 80mph plus.Lovelly noises from the exhaust pipes going through the tunnels. We certainly attracted lots of attention :D :D Ashame there wasn't that many autojumblers (no rimmers) but otherwise a great day out helped by the weather.
Brilliant day! I was as suprised as everyone else by the slight  performance difference when I set the fuel pressure. I forgot how well the 2.5 Pi goes when all is ok. We all got to Duxford in next to no time.
It was good to see Adys Stag up and running now, with that new engine installed. It sounded a treat! And Carls Sprint seems to be well sorted now.
I think the all Triumph shows are the top shows of the year :D

You must have blinked Bruce!

No, sorry, didn't make it. Didn't quite finish working on QS last evening, thought about coming in the Lotus, but instead had a very necessary day chilled out doing very little apart from mindlessly strimming the grass verges in my Mother's allotment and drinking tea!

Hello.
Reg and I decided to make good use of a quiet A1, and did a few video shots.
Here's Reg's Sprint in action:

Fabulous day, terrific fun!.. Thanks to all who made it so. That convoy of Triumphs gunning it along the fast lane must of been quite a sight. 8) Good to see Ken and the lovely LD..a superb, genuine car that..coffee and cream..gorgeous. :P Great to see the Panther Rio, lovely condition too..such a rare car. I was one of the last to leave and was rewarded with a B17 lazily flying over, it was so, so quiet...lovely old thing. Had a nice, leisurely drive home and took a few pics of Lee's PI. It was a real privilege to see it on the road for the first time in 23 years, with 21 of those untouched and rusting away in a barn! Well done mate, those long cold nights over the winter make it all worth while when you have days like this and many admiring comments like you did.. :)

A couple before we left..

What a Fantastic day

we left coventry at 8.30 in a 5 car convoy and it was a great drive, quite roads and the sun was shinning!!

MWK did me proud yesterday, i have never taken her on such a long journey and i could bet shes never been that far away from coventry in her 41 yr life, but she lapped up the 196miles with no problem, running a little hot at times but considering the temp yesterday i dont thik its something to worry about (it was hotter in cov yesterday then in Barcelona)

Fantastic day, fantastic weather, fantastic museum!!!

Been wanting to go to Duxford for years as the Memphis Belle is there (aka Sally B)
We're going again in september for show bus 2009

Yes Indeed, what a good day. The first show I've had both of my cars at, lots of other lovely Triumphs on display, plenty for the aviation entusiasts as well, the B17 I've done so much to flying, Spitfires, the Catalina and some friends showing up in their Tiger Moth. Absolutely brilliant day :D

What ? No mention of the Spitfire ?

Always liked the English Electric Lightning and the Lockeed Blackbird. Built to fly FAST ! (are any still flying ?)

I think I recall seeing Mark Hanna flying a Lightning at Duxford the day they had 16 spits in the air (greatest wing since WW2) about 10 years back.

Sadly Mark is no longer with us.

Mark was a great loss. The Blackbirds are all gone too

Nope, not changing the wheels :rasp: so there

I love seeing the B17, the Catalina and well, everything really. Spitties have the most beautiful sound.

I was stunned at the sheer size of the Blackbird. I never realised just how big it was, and how long ago the prototype flew. Quite amazing really.

Thanks to all my mates for making it a brilliant day.
