Front spoiler bolts came out when i took it off, i made new bolts up with a welded washer at the end inside, fibre glassed and then plastic filled them in. Their pretty strong now, i done a little bit of modding where they meet the front panel too...

Made up a tool to get down the sills with to clean the rust, got a long bar and welded a sanding wheel to the end as i didnt have a proper holder for it at hand, welded a smaller bolt to the other end to fit in the air grinder. I was able to get down both sides of the sill inside to clean it up,i put on a welding glove to hold the start/middle of the bar as not to burn my hand whilst using it...

Great work Johnny. I have often seen repairs done with no attempt to sort out the rust behind, which seems such a waste. Your car should last for years after the effort you are putting in.

Cheers, trying my best to keep the dreaded rust away as long as possible. Whilst trying to sort out the dolly iv'e found a lot of 'not so good' repairs, inside one of the rear arches i found a hole that had been filled up with a load of black silicon and then a little bit of car filler in front to hide rather then welding it up. :(

excellent work and very thorough, good stuff johnny. I hoovered out the cross box-sections inside the car and the crap I got out was amazing.

fantastic job saving this car.

You mean silicon sealer isn't structural?!

Damn hope that wasn't the repair I paid good money for the garage to do! £80 I think for welding a patch on each sill/will arch area. Won't be going back there again...
