I got my pass today!! I always go to selkirk (it's only about 15 miles away for me) but it will be a nice change to be there with the club. This is my highlight from last year, but I'm keen to see how many brown dollys we can get lined up on the day.

Update on the passes!

Alan sent them out on Monday, but if you have received a card from the Royal Mail saying they have an item for you and that there is a fee to pay to pick it up, then I'm afraid that will be your pass... So make sure you go to your Post Office with the card, pay the fee and collect the letter!

Alan apologises very much for the mix up, the Post Office told him they could be sent out at one price, but it seems in reality they are considering them to have been under paid.

So please please, don't ignore the card, collect the letter with your pass in it!

We need to be there for 10am on the Sunday and have to stay on the ground until 4.30pm. Some of you might be camping and therefore already be there.

Any problems, give me a shout.

Cheers

Thanks to Mel for coming up with the idea of having a Dolomite Club stand at Selkirk and thank you to Alan for organising it. Also thanks to the weather for not raining during the event! I think we had 13 cars on the stand and it was good to put names to faces.
I thought I would add a few pictures of the day:

Thanks to everyone who turned up! It was great to see so many cars and lots of variety! I liked the fact we had to pinch space from the allegros next door to fit all our cars in! Not quite enough browns in my opinion though...

It was a great day, lots of interest, and amazingly warm when the sun came out. Was really great to meet everyone and catch up again with some old friends from previous shows.

We'll certainly be doing it again next year, and it was generally agreed that a piece for the magazine was necessary.

Cheers to everyone!

dear all, Margaret and I :smooch: , would like to thank Allan and and all his helpers for making this day a really good event, the range of cars were a joy to see and one or two different faces made a nice change. Must admit we nearly didnt make it as the weather was awful in Carlisle when we finally set off, but thank goodness it suddenly stopped about a mile outside of Hawick and turned into a really nice day.

Having a joint stand with the Allegro club was quite fun, Bill especially enjoyed the cake and the glass of wine (non alcoholic) supplied by Alans wife as it was a special day for their club (Margaret sez Bill is anybody's for a bit of cake). but next year can we go as the Allegro/dolomite club then we might not be out at the very back ha ha

Hope this is just the start of the many Scottish Dolly days to come

Regards to all who attended

Best wishes
Bill & Margaret
Sadly Bill passed away in May 2022 but is fondly remembered by all his friends in the Club.

Yeah, a really nice day I think, and so nice to be at the Selkirk Rally and not get soaking wet. How good to see so many cars out, and a chance to see people before the car (and me) go into hibernation for the winter.
