I collected lots of conkers today.

One of life's free pleasures is opening up a conker, you are the first one to see what is within, that lovely dark brown shineyness that people pay thousands of pounds to have in their furniture, yours for free.

Brought them home and now they're guarding the house against spiders (really do work too).
