Some fine Wet & Dry, maybe some wire wool, then finish by smearing Autosol on & cleaning up on my buffing wheel (attached to my leccy drill & held in the vise).

Is this the best (or only) place to buy a vinyl roof Mart?

I guess we're talking about the shiny dashpots? I just clean all the crude off with some gunk & wire wool then, depending how good/bad they are, I use a bit of fine wet & dry on them to start with then smear Autosol over them & put them on the buffer on my leccy drill. They polish up quite easily/quickly. I reckon I spent 20 mins. tops on each. I'll try & takes some pics of the kit I use one day.

I beleive there are other places that sell the vinyl roof with the seams. I think someone put a link up earlier this week somewhere. This is the fourth roof I've had off Martin as he makes a good job of them.

The 2 passenger doors have had their dents pushed out. Remember the rear passenger door with ½" of filler in it? Well Jon said he gave it a few taps with a chisel from the inside and the dent came out almost perfect, so only a slight skim of filler this time.

Your painter certainly has done a fantastic job Mart. With having a vinyl roof, what sort of prep does the roof have?

The roof had the same as the rest of the car (primer, etch primer etc.) except that it only had one top coat. I will now rough it up a bit with some wet & dry before gluing the vinyl roof on.

Jon brought PUS back at lunchtime & managed to dodge the rain. We just managed to get it off the back of the transporter before the rain came down again.

After cleaning up the main wiring loom & making good a couple of connections it was on to fitting the bulkhead pad (gotta love the smell of the Evostick :rolleyes2: ). I then started to make up the front brake pipes but got a bit stuck with which pipe goes to where on the union (could've sworn I took a piccy before I removed it.) My union seems to be a different hand than the one in the Sprint dogalogue. (see post in Dolly related forum). Next I started fitting the main wiring loom.

Didn't do as much today as I'd hoped. Mary glued the edge of the headlining & fitted the furflex. She also fitted the 'A' & 'B' post vinyls, the seat belts and the rear lights. I've been faffing with a few bits as well.
