Here's my candidate for what could be a long running thread...
What's your best car spot of the day...

Lets keep it "uplifiting" and quality...not some chav or muppet driving a shed badly....:-)

So this a.m. on way to work at the A34 M4 junction saw a nice convoy.....

Immaculate white big healey....looked like a 3000 mk2 or 3 from the chrome trim
followed by nice MGB roadster and a lovely red Alfa spider duetto...the boat tailed one.

Nice....puts you in a good mood for the day.

We have a "what have you spotted today" topic on popular classics, so if this topic is too going to run, I may as well post them here as I do there?

This is my most recent, from this Monday.

I saw this Austin Healey Sprite;

And this BSA motorcycle (in the pouring rain);

...which I believe is either an A7 or an A10?

Every morning when I go out and start working on my car I see the beautiful trio of Moke, Sprite frog-eye and Sprite MkIII belonging to the man who lends me tools. It motivates me to knuckle down on mine!

...and from Sunday 4th...

I saw this FIAT 124 Spider:

Another FIAT (this time an ice cream van :razz: ) .

..and this early Range Rover;

Sorry no piccys.
That's the first Dolomite I've seen on the road (apart from shows) for months !
Yup. A nice warm feeling that, and that's before I start the beer.

Being that I work on the only motorway along the south coast and this weekend is Goodwoods revival I have seen a lot of old cars today including E types, Bugattis,Rollers etc, could take any pics as I was driving.

That dolomite regularly drives the 60 mile commute to Didcot, so plenty of chance to see it.
Funny that the car being driven by the starter of this thread gets its own mention.

Nice one..

I live not far from Goodwood so if I go out with a camera this weekend I will be spoilt for choice.
Last time I popped in to Goodwood there was a Pagani Zonda there busy failing the noise test so no track day for him.

This year the Spitfire is featured so I should look skyward too 8)

Would of been nice if it was a Ghia or Ghia X but still quite rare to see these days :)
There's a chap in Paignton here in Devon that has a very nice Ghia saloon in Caspian Blue metalic that gets used quite often.That is a very nice car :mrgreen:

Well I was at Goodwood today so I was totally spoilt for choice of top spots. I should have popped in for a cuppa TJ....:-)

I think the Lagonda drophead was prpbably my fave but a lime green Miura has to be up there as does the white packard straight eight.

Among the more common stuff it was nice to see a rally ready Riley 2.6 obviously in regular use...not that a Riley 2.6 is common. Think I'veonlye ever seen 1 or 2 on the road but you all know what I mean.

Funny old show the revival...never been before but its great the way everyone dresses up and looks the part. Its almost worth the entrance fee to walk around the car park.

used to live in Totnes at the top of Jubilee road and that picture looks like Lee Mill car park and I too like Granada's.

Yes a cuppa would have been good :) dressing up is all part of the fun and its a pity that owners of classics dont do more of it.
