That number is for cars registered in England and Wales, since figures for cars in Scotland and Northern Ireland are subject to the different laws applying to their information, so you could probably add a proportionate extra few dozen cars to reflect the same as that recorded by the site which, although they mean well, cannot hope to be accurate.

You could do it on population if original sales figures aren't known.

I can confirm that that cake was very tasty :D Must say I was particularly impressed with the decoration!

Julie and I had a great weekend. Most enjoyable meal with TDCers at the Premier Inn (we weren't being anti-social at breakfast - honest  )

Enjoyed the show very much, impressed with the Dolly turnout - some absolutely stunning examples. The club display was great and the chats very friendly :D.

Many thanks and congrats to everyone responsible.

Hope to see you all at the NEC.

Cheers
Jeff

Went to the TDICR at Cholmondley, shame it had been relocated to the other side of the field, but the rain disappeared about 11.00 the sun came out and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. It was surprising that so many cars turned out in this economic climate,I think there were over 50.
Many thanks to Janette and all the people who helped organise the venue etc.

Turn up in a non display car, spend very little time on the club stand (by your own admission)
Not what i said.

and two get in free of charge in return for a nil contribution to the success of the day; sounds like a good deal to me!

Pleased you enjoyed the cake, I didn't get any. I was expressly told there was cake...
Fuel cost to attend and swell the numbers helping to make a good event was £25 and between myself and my friends around £50 was spent on the trade stands.
Whilst there I also handed over a membership renewal cheque for £26.
So unsure where you're getting 0 contribution from. My personal spend for the day was about £90
The fact remains; told it would be free, then had to pay.

And if TDC membership enables you to get a pass for two people, LancashireLad, then all well and good. Like you, I don't see a problem.

I know it's very early to be asking this, but is it at all likely that TDCIR 2013 will be at Cholmondeley? I would have liked to attend, but was otherwise tied up tending the bar at a canal festival, but this last is only every other year; so I'm hoping to attend TDCIR next time around if again at Cholmondeley.

This was the most enjoyable event I've attended in years! It was very, VERY friendly, well organised and very well presented. An enormous vote of thanks must go to Jannette & Danny, Paul & Polly, Paul, Ray and other members of TDC Northwest, and of course "MC Col Hughes" - a sterling effort by you all! :D
TDCIR 2013 will take place in Warwickshire as part of the STAR90 celebrations - see viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20086 for more details. This promises to be the mother of all Triumph events and we very much hope that members from all over the world will be able to join us for this.

As for the question re next year the answer is no it won't be at Cholmondeley and also for a change it will be in May rather than the usual September. The reason is that all or most of the Triumph clubs will be celebrating 90 years of Triumph cars and so we are going to be part of this, also it will be the Sprint's 40th anniversary. The dates are May 17/18/19 and location I believe not yet finalised but could well be Gaydon (Motor Heritage Museum I would guess), certainly Warwickshire anyway.
As for pics Steve yes could you upload if you know how to, I also snapped every car (but one I think!) but won't bother about uploading if you're going to, as I said they're all over the facebook page, and this may be a timely reminder for anyone who hasn't seen that (must have a facebook account to open it though).

I echo all previous comments about the great turn out etc, I was the bloke waffling through the loudspeaker at prize giving having finally managed to stop the thing feeding back.
