Re: My new road And occasional track day car

Other than making positive and awe inspired comments I think a lot of us feel that we are so far out of Daren's league that we don't have a whole lot
to contribute.

Its a bit me too just typing in "awesome work" or words to that effect over and over again. I get bored of reading those kind of comments.

I just hope DF appreciates our interest...I'm sure he does, but I quite understand him hanging out on a forum with other more like minded carbon fibre
and mega turbo engineering specialists.

Note from Admin: sadly Jon passed away in February 2018 but his humour and wealth of knowledge will be fondly remembered by all. RIP Jonners.

Darren.
I too hope you keep up the posts.
Loving the latest carbon work, I intend to start making a few bits myself for my project after having been inspired by your work.
I generally post my updates on another forum and every time I do a proper update I just copy it and paste it on here. I have always concluded that as the views keep going up that people are interested.
Only takes 5 mins to copy and paste it.

Another thread I am following with interest is Mart's late Sprint restoration VHK, which has 134 replies and 7736 views.
Darren's thread has 287 replies and 19670 views :D  .
I have also been following your thread with interest and admiration Neil .

I don't have much time spare these days, but the odd spare moment I get, I like to check out progress on Mart's resto and DF's special. I consider myself and accomplished Amatuer mechanic but find myself somewhat lost for words when reading DF's thread.

The level of ingenious design skill and fabrication skill is of a level at which it is difficult to comment other than 'awesome, impressive' as vehicle build of this level is not soemthing that I would consider myself competent to comment upon.

I too am one of the silent admirers of your amazing fabrication and engineering skill. It is going to be one hell of a car!

Please keep the updates coming if you can. :D

I had a passenger ride in ALG1K (Evo V I think it was) and was absolutely completely utterly blown away by the quality of the engineering, the obscene quantity of power and truly staggering speed. The things that are happening to this latest car are on a totally different planet to that which I could achieve or even properly understand.....leaving me with not a great deal to contribute to the discussion except to watch the progress with a mix of total jealousy, complete awe and a smattering of hero-worship for Darren and his creations....

I was overtaken (by most things) first outing after rebuild in the Quicksprint at Castle Combe, but especially and convincingly by ALGIK. My mate Dave in the passenger seat turned to me and asked just why my car was called the Quicksprint! It was a humbling experience!
