'Sell your car for £30'

Some people are like Slinky's, they serve no real purpose in life but bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
Re: National Restoration Show Sun 27th October

Any more info? Just over a week away... I might be able to lend a hand the day before (if I can find a cheap hotel in the vicinity). I need a pair of headlight retaining panels from Alun so I can collect them at the same time. Getting my 1850 on the stand would be expensely prohibitive.

Re: National Restoration Show Sun 27th October
The plan so far, though I need to co-ordinate a few things over the coming week, is:
Project 1: Rob Marshall's project 1500 with a list of jobs he has prepared
Project 2: A Sprint Auto' which had suffered being broken for spares currently consists of a rolling shell, no interior or rear suspension engine or 'box. It had been previously converted to manual, but parts have now been sourced to convert it back to auto'. Tasks for the day will be fitting engine & 'box, fitting rear suspension. i've had the crank reground this week to +10 (cross drilled crank in an Auto'!), need to get a replacement valve guide fitted to the head this coming week.
Project 3: Sprint engine rebuild. The engine loaned to Practical Classics last year for their strip down feature has been returned in component parts. One bod on the head and one bod on the block will hopefully see it reassembled during the day.
First problem is we apparently only have six passes!
Second problem is confirmed all day attendees are Me, Ron1966, MadMart, Carledo (with potentials from MigWielder and youngmangonewest). We could do with more willing and capable hands, so you are most welcome David, but I'll have to try to secure some more passes during the week.

you would be better off scrapping it - make more than £30.00 for the good bits if there are any.TrustNo1 wrote:'Sell your car for £30'

..... but on the same topic if anybody would like any bits transported from or to the Reading, Berkshire or Farnborough, Hants area to the Restoration Show, please do drop me a P.M. It'll probably have to be only fairly small items as I nearly have a car-full right now.

I'll be there. Hope to meet up with some of you guys. Sadly, no Dolly this year. Hopefully next year I can show her off.
