Just found these pics ... put it together around 2003 from a pile of bits. had 45s, STR91, TT head, 4.11:1 LSD etc. was great fun ! You might have seen it at SODIT 2003, I think.
Is Malcolm England still on the forums ? Remember giving him a ride near Beale Park.
Sold it to a bloke in Holland called Jan ....

Lovely pictures. First one is my favourite. I like the neighbour with his head under the wing of the SAAB - why can't I have neighbours like that?

Ten years on and the pull is strong; what's it to be Richard, Sprint or special?

The Jan you've sold your cars to, is still active in Dutch Dolomite circles: Jan's facebook profile
I think both cars still exist (click pictures)
PM me for his private email if you want to get in touch.

Re: Robin Hood S7
Hi Richard, ahhh the Holy Toledo!
Hope you're well and everything is good in your world.
I should have bought that Robin Hood, but it just wasn't possible at the time.
I bought a lovely little 2 door off Jeanette and Danny which I keep threatening with a 16 valve lump, but don't have the heart!
And my ideal Sprint that's currently being butchered at SprintSpeed (not too bad, ripe for modification)
Do you have a classic, or are you thinking of any?
Cheers,
BEn

Re: Robin Hood S7
Hi Ben, yep - I actually got the Holy Toledo from a vicar ! The RH was pretty scary. Remember driving to Beale Park along the M4 being overtaken by huge lorries.
Don't have a classic, but do have Golf 4Motion - 2.8 litre, 4wd. Hmm .... Quite a compact v6 ! Could mount it NS with rwd or EW and keep the 4wd !!
Now, where did I put that tape measure !
Like the idea of the ca18det conversion ...
Did you drive down from Oxford and buy a head ?
Cheers, Richard
