My daughter knowing it was my birthday on Sat asked if she could have a passenger when she took the 350 bhp supercharged Honda engined Ariel Atom up the Goodwood Festival of Speed hillclimb. They said yes you can in this 0-60 in 2.5 sec and 0-100 in 6 sec projectile!
The Telegraph have the video here.

Re: Goodwood thrill
Why thank you Alun just trying to stay ahead of the grim reaper........just!
Ha I will pass it on Alun.
You may be interested in what Diane was driven up the hill in by one of Rebecca's racing pals.
An Aston Martin Vantage N430 and at the top she got to chat with Sir Chris Hoy amongst others.
The Aston gets to 62 mph in a tad over 4 sec or when the Atom is just about to hit the ton
Rebecca will be doing video car reviews for the Telegraph and writing for them from now on which is great news and I expect she will get to drive some amazing wheels.
On Sunday Rebecca raced up driving the new 911 GTS again a 4sec 0-62 monster.
The special that I have built is ..........err slow by the Atoms standard ...............but a fraction of the cost

Re: Goodwood thrill
I drove the n430 at Milbrook a couple of weeks ago, along with the Vantage v12s, the latter being a most refined beast with an automatic changing 7 speed manual 'box that took me to 175 and back to zero on the standing straight mile.
The astons may be slower than the atom, but the facial distortions that they create are induced
rather than enforced
...
Would love to trade mine for the v12s, but find mine has depreciated with 'atomic' speed!!!

Great experience for both of you.
Shame on them though for not inviting you Jon to demonstrate the Sprint.

Re: Goodwood thrill
Compared wit the Atom I am afraid the old Sprint would be found wanting.............a lot!
However we have had oodles of fun in our Sprint over the years.
