Not sure if anyone read this^^^ but for the sake of recording it, the way to get Evo-Stick off of your upholstery is with good ol' WD40.

A friend on Facebook said to try it so I did. First spray had it lifting at the edges, second spray had it coming off, agitated with my thumbnail and the adhesive began to lift away, and then I rolled it up and off like sunburn within a few minutes.

What a relief. I really thought it had soaked into the fabric too far to get it out, but no, all gone!

Advisories were:

"Slight play in osf wheel bearing" which I was half suspecting as this is a new garage doing the MoT, I spoke to the tester before hand and asked his views on end float in Timken bearings, he totally understood "As long as they're not too baggy, I'll pass 'em" he said, which is in total contrast to the previous garage Tester who said he wouldn't tolerate end play in wheel bearings - as a result I used to tighten them up and the then loosen them once back home with a pass.

The other advisory was on "slight play in steering coupling" which was fitted around 3 years ago and is a repro one that when I got it I thought looked puny, I have since obtained a nice beefy NOS BL one which can now go on that I have a death certificate for the old one.

New needles and jets fitted, oil change, coolant flush, brakes cleaned out, so already for another 12 months of Dolomite motoring.

Okay, time to wind up this topic as I won't be updating it any more (or posting on this forum any longer).

Thanks to everyone who has taken an interest, I hope in some way I have contributed via my knowledge and supply of parts to both TDC members and non-members over the many years I have been on this forum.

As for Happy, well, what can I say? He continues to provide me with just as much enjoyment and pleasure as he always has. I sincerely hope that your car also continues to do the same for you.
