Hang fire Tony! I've just had a conversation with Rob about this....apparently, with the thrust washer and bellows compressed as far down as they will go, there should be about 5mm clearance between the thrust washer face and the clutch splines, so the whole assy needs moving forward or back until this is achieved.
I thought it should be as above but with interference rather than a gap, so had it wrong. A gap is required to account for wear in the splines, as they apparently move backwards as they wear.
Needless to say, I've just called my machinist mate and stopped him from reducing the spacer until I've re measured everything again!!
