Just went out to do some more jobs on the Toledo, just to discover a shattered windscreen. The missus was out in teh garden earlier, says she heard a pop. Goodness know what caused it to go.....
Still, nothing that a £75 excess won't fix. Assuming they (autoglass) can find a screen.......

Re: Damn and blast
The same thing happened to my Sprint 6 months before I sold it
I had just had a quote for a new paving brick drive that we decided was too expensive..................I thought the paving firm did it for spite, but I had no proof.

Re: Damn and blast
Get a S/H screen and a new rubber, put it in yourself and you'll probably still be within your £75 excess! And you get to choose whether to go laminated or keep to a toughened which was OE on the Toledo.

Re: Damn and blast
TJ, I wouldn't put it past them.
And I asked about, but no screens unless I nip upto Wins, but that would be £40+vat plus time and fuel.
For the grief I will pay the £75, they can only get tinted laminated screens, and hope to have one by the end of the week.
I have rebooked the MoT that was 8am Saturday for the following Saturday. Hey ho, that's life!
The rubber is not exactly mint, but the screenfitters have some nice sealants that work wonders
