Hello all, my name is liam. I am 19 years old and recently just purchased a 1300 fwd. It's runs great a few noises here and there and a few bits of rust to take care of. A quick question though. The crank but keeps coming loose. I see it's nylock but the nylon looks ruined. Does anyone know where I can get a new on from or all the dimensions and thread size so I can try and get hold of one. And would you recommend putting it on with loctite?
I'm a bit new (equally old with a 30 year break in Triumph ownership) to this game, but is your pulley nut tapered or straight? The early ones are apparently tapered and are kept in place with thread lock. I'm assuming pulley bolt is what you mean, as in the big nut on the end of the crankshaft? I see that the 1300 is the same as the 1500, and you can buy one from here on a quick google: http://www.winsintltd.co.uk/engine-parts1.html

Welcome to the forum Liam. I saw you post on the CT forum. This is the best place for technical help and advice. No disrespect to Club Triumph but their focus is more on driving events (RBRR & the 10CR to name but two). The TDC are more focussed on keeping the cars on the road by supplying and manufacturing obsolete parts although some of us DO use our cars in anger. Parts catalogues and factory workshop manuals in PDF format are available to download HERE. The parts catalogue will help you identify the part number of your crank pulley nut so you will be able to source a replacement. You could also start a thread in the "wanted" section. Joining the Club will give you access to the benefits of membership.

Yes a couple of people pointed me over here. Thanks for the pdfs. Got the timing chain to replace soon. And I think it could do with a new clutch too. Can't wait to go to some meets and see some other people's cars too.
Welcome to the TDC and what a great looking car! I notice that the N/S headlight looks a bit dull in comparison to the O/S one, so it might be an idea to keep an eye out for a spare, not that you need one right now.
