Carpet
I was just going to order a carpet set from Coverdale, I have a quote for £135. I notice they only have listings for a 1300 and 1500 RWD, not a Dolomite. I assume they mean a Dolomite. Question is, are Sprints similar around the gearbox tunnel area?

Re: Carpet
I read on a post someone had carpets made for a 1500se and would not fit a Sprint.

Re: Carpet
If it's any help Mart Rimmers list their carpet sets as dolomite or sprint, which i assume the carpet sets are the same for most dollys with the only difference being manual or auto

Re: Carpet
I was looking at the Rimmer ones for my 1850, they do look good. Has anyone any experience of the fit and quality etc? How does the pile look compared to originals? (Unworn granted!!)

Re: Carpet
It might mean of course that they don't quite fit either properly!mahony wrote:If it's any help Mart Rimmers list their carpet sets as dolomite or sprint, which i assume the carpet sets are the same for most dollys with the only difference being manual or auto![]()

Re: Carpet
You could be right Alun and at £194 Inc vat I would not like to take a chance, Mart's £135 is more reasonablexvivalve wrote:It might mean of course that they don't quite fit either properly!mahony wrote:If it's any help Mart Rimmers list their carpet sets as dolomite or sprint, which i assume the carpet sets are the same for most dollys with the only difference being manual or auto![]()

They offer a choice of qualities and prices. However, although they have a lot of happy customers, a few have been less happy.

Re: Carpet
In later models they were. The early models came with separate underlay but were not moulded.Toledo Man wrote:Weren't original carpets moulded?
I think I'll give the Coverdale carpets a try.

Re: Carpet
I seem to recall that the gearbox cover is larger on the Sprint, so the piece of carpet from a standard Dolomite set probably won't fit over it.

Re: Carpet
I've put an order in with Coverdale. They did ask if it was a Sprint so I guess they know about the differences. 2-3 weeks delivery so I'll let you all know (or Mary will) how good/bad the fit is.
