triumph dolomite sprint engine knock rumble
hi im wondering if any one can help ive got a dolomite sprint and it has got a knock/ rumble from bottom of head top of block close to the water core plug in block it only happens when the engine is up to temperature doesn't happen when the engine is cool ive fitted an oil pressure gauge and its reading 60psi cold and 55psi engine hot so I know its not a oil pressure issue, has anybody else had an issue like this or can shed some light on it thanks

I wonder if you have water pump issues...
It may be the clearance has been set up inadequately, so that the pump touches the cover when hot.
You need to sort this pdq. Ive seen the results of this being driven too long and it wasn't pretty.
Start by draining and removing inlet manifold and water pump cover.
Be especially suspicious if the pump has received attention lately.

If you still have the original fan and Torquetrol unit it could be the bearings failing. Try wiggling the fan blades and listen for a clunk. I've had 2 occasions of funny noises at the front end.
One was the alternator front bearing. ( Remove fanbelt to check ).
The other was the bolt behind the fan working loose and rattling against the pulley.
