Good luck Jon, hoping for a full and rapid recovery.

I also suspect going into the garage was dangerous!

Thanks for the well wishing lads.
I am feeling much better and am off medication however still not at work which may be 3 weeks away as I am still a bit weak.
Although I cannot remember the collapse or anything until after coming round from the op my memory is intact and I am still able to recall that an MG is the best marque ever

Hi folks had a very pleasant chat with Southampton head specialist yesterday and she seems happy with my progress but doubts I will be back to work before Feb.
My wife who many of you know has been fantastic and has really looked after me well, she has has had some bitter pills to swallow in her life and to hear her anguish when I fell to the floor after coming out of hospital was not what I want for her.
However on a lighter note I have been wathching day time television and in particular Mike Brewer on "Wheeler Dealers" and after seeing him tart up an MGBGT and lose another pile of dosh I ask why would you want to keep a slow ponderous heavy steering noisy so called sports car on the road at all :)
My favourite shows are full of cars I like.
The Professionals.
The Sweeney.
Minder.
All these shows have the big six Triumphs in and they look so stylish for their time also the series 2 Granada,s and Capri,s look superb.

Great to hear you are on the mend Jon.

Now will that head specialist give a club discount for a skim and new valve seats.

I will ask her next time we speak, she has a good sense of humour as she asked me how my short memory was and when I replied "what was the question)" she got it right away.
