Been looking at some tyre options. This is a 205/60/13 next to a standard 175/70/13. A little too wide for the rim though so I'm looking at a 195/50/13 atm

Got lots done today! Got the off side cill cut out and the inner strengthener cut out almost ready for the new section to be welded in. Also started to remove my off side wing.
Pictures!

Lots of rust but not dreadful. Thankfully the inner cill is in amazing condition.

This is the wing so far.

Opened a small gap with a pry bar then used a reciprocating saw to nip through the welds. Done that all the way along.

Until it was off!

Then cut the front but forgot pictures. Will get some tomorrow. Also getting spot weld drills tomorrow and will get the wing off completely!

This evening saw me getting the off side wing removed. A bit of rust around the front panel too which will have to be dealt with but not too bad.

Hopefully more tomorrow!

Thanks. Tonight's pictures are a bit rubbish as I just wanted it off. Will get some better pictures when I do the other side:)

I don't know why, but I really like pics of rust being exposed, cut out and replaced with solid metal. However, I may become less enamoured of this when I start doing it with my own car!

Looking great Rich.

Do you have more pics of the front wing removal? I may be joining you on that in the summer...:-)

Defo get the right chain tensioner btw....
