Sliding calipers - how much slop?

#1 Post by tinweevil »

How much play should there be on the sliders? BMW E46 front. I've just fitted a new caliper and with the sliders back in & tight the caliper will easily wiggle 5 degrees fore & aft. Seems to me the slider holes are too big, way too big. Or is that normal? I haven't got the clip on yet or begun bleeding it.

Till the big spring clip is on the outside, these things float about like a f*rt in a colander, don't worry about it!
