Hi. I'm new here looking to rekindle my interest in Dolomites. I had a lovely 1850 back in 1982 as my only car. I'm currently the owner of a very nice stag and I'm looking for either an 1850 to keep it company or dare I say it perhaps a sprint. Trouble is I don't want to pay a fortune and I'm not too keen on travelling more than a couple of hours from Chester.
Slim pickings at the moment but something may come available over the coming weeks. Cheers
Hi
Re: Hi
Well one week of searching has been fruitless. Nothing at all within 60 miles. One at a dealer 100 miles away but he doesn't answer the phone or emails. Another 240 miles away at top money but that may, or may not, be sold. Some one offered me a non runner but no photos or location or description.
That's it.
Wow, this isn't easy is it?

Re: Hi
Welcome Grumpy2.
I think it is well worth taking your time and keeping an eye on what comes up for sale across the country just to give you an idea of what they sell for. I would also recommend widening your search a bit. I live up near Edinburgh, so I usually have to travel to get a car. I have driven cars up from Eastbourne and Weston-Super-Mare. It is worth a couple of extra hours' drive to get the right car.
I have just bought a Triumph 1300 after looking for one for about six months. It is interesting to see how cars are bought and sold and turn from restoration projects into original cars in remarkable condition!

Re: Hi
Hi thanks for the replies. Don't want a restoration project. But don't object to some running improvements. If it's a way away the I need to be able to drive it home
Patience isn't my best virtue either unfortunately, I was hoping to try and see one or two this coming week when I'm off work.
Cheers
