Sprint gearbox cross shaft bushes.

Hi!

Put new cross shaft bushes into my gearbox yesterday, looking in the repair manual I can't see anything that suggests how far the bushes should be pushed in. Do they sit flush with the outer casing or should they be set a couple of mm or so into the casing? I'm thinking maybe a mm from the edge?

Its not critical but I usually drift them in so they are flush with the outer casing such that minimal road dirt can get in.

You should be able to see how the old ones were located too.
