Duff Morgan & Vermont of Norwich formed in 1909, by three men: Colonel Granville Duff, John Delmar Morgan and his brother-in-law, Commander Oliver Locker-Lampson. The company is still trading today under the abbreviated name ‘Duff Morgan’ with sites in Norwich and Kings Lynn.

We have recently acquired a guide to all Triumph dealerships and service centres, although it isn't dated. It's surprising to find that there were so many of them all over the country!

I would be interested in anything you could dig up about Uxbridge service station, Cowley Mill Rd, Uxbridge, which was an Austin and Triumph dealership when I did my apprenticeship in 1970-73.

Also of R B Massey of Beverly Yorkshire, who supplied my Toledo new. I have the original invoice for that car with letterhead etc and somewhere a pic of the rear window sticker (which has now almost disintegrated) I believe they also had a branch in York which is where the heritage cert says the car was dispatched to from the factory.

Cheers, Steve

You can view and download my collection of dealer directories from: http://vitessesteve.blogspot.co.uk/2016 ... ories.html

The blog has some info how how you can date the directory. For example:

Can I have a copy of your directory?

I have a couple of articles about Robert B Massey (York) Ltd that appeared in the Standard Triumph Review, but nothing about Uxbridge service station.

I would like to see copies your R B Massey of Beverly Yorkshire material.

The one I have is identical to the one you have on your page from 1974.

Carledo - I can't find any mention of the place in Uxbridge, but the one in Beverley is listed.

Took these pics of my 1500HL and paperwork, which was originally supplied by Mantles of Biggleswade. They appear to be Ford dealers now and advertise themselves as being 95 years old.

I recently found this. Uxbridge Service Station (at one time a Triumph car dealer) dealer address stamp on a Peugeot brochure.

That's very interesting, as when I worked there, it was at a different address in Cowley Mill Rd, though the phone number is strangely familiar! Not been through there recently but it could easily have been torn down and relocated by now and the site was a pretty prime one, virtually the last building in Uxbridge if leaving on the Iver Heath/Slough road. I know they got out of BL not long after I left and went to Vauxhall and later Peugeot/Citroen.
