Ok this has probably been asked many many times before, but for my own sake can MGB HS4 carbs be fitted to a Dolly 1850? What changes have to be made to make them work on an 1850 dolly?
Cheers

I'm using HIF38s on my 1500. They're better than the hif4s as they flow better.

I would say yes. You will need the right needles and change the float adapter things because at an MGB the floats are angled on the carb. I'm not sure the brackets on the spindles are usable but that again you can switch over from the 1850 ones.

Cheers Jeroen and Marko,
This was my concern with the float chamber, weather it could be made to fit, as they are offset on the MGB. But if your saying it can with HS4's then that's excellent

This part goes in between the carb body and float. The slot determines the angle. When using the dolomite ones you will be OK. There are floats with different offsets. High and low so the best is to use the dolomite float bowls also as angled versions are most of the time high and dolomite ones low I believe.
