Hi,

Any recommendations of the best vinyl roof cleaning and protecting products?
I was once told black shoe polish but have since learnt this can run when wet and stain paintwork?

Many thanks,

Chris.

I have always used MER Vynal Gel but it is getting harder to find, alternatively i know some that use auto-balm polish, never used boot polish for the reason that you describe.

I've used boot polish on mine before and is good for working into the grain of the material.
I have also used Autoglym vinyl and rubber care spray for years which seems to work well and is nice to apply.

I usually use shoe polish. Never had a problem with running/staining. Why would you put it on your shoes if it did?

It's shoe polish I use too, never heard of it running, once it's polished in that's it - used to use it 'back in the day' too.
