Sprint air filter pipe bracket hole diameter?

#1 Post by DavePoth »

Does anyone happen to know what diameter the holes on the air filter pipe bracket that attaches to the radiator are for a Sprint? My guess was 1 3/4" to match the carburettors but I don't have one here to measure.

Yes, 1.75-1.8 in. The correct style of hose screws into the holes in that bracket then are a push fit onto the two intakes on the air filter box. Sometimes the front screwed part of the battery clamp can get in the way so the lower hose has to go round it.

I tried measuring mine on situ so I would go with Alun's figure.

Perfect - thanks all! The relays for the headlamps on my new wiring loom are nestled into the little gap between the front wing and the radiator, so I'm going to try to kill two birds with one stone and make a combination weather shield and bracket for the hoses.
