Drivers door lock issue

My drivers side door lock will not stay locked , after i lock the door with the key i can still open it via the outside door handle, ( black pin moves down still ) any ideas before i remove the door card and take a look ? .

I would gess one of the clips that hold the rods in place has broke

Door card off and nothing broken and all clips in place, Wd40 next to see if that helps 🤔

Be careful with WD-40, it isn't really designed as lubricant, it is as the name suggests a water displacer and cleaner. The fact it lubricates is more of a side effect.

So it will work sort term but it won't persist and you will be back to square one. I know from locks they generally use a dry lubricant, something like graphite, to stop crud building up.

Gonna clean with Wd40 and then find a suitable lubricant
if the Wd40 works 😀

What needs lubrication is the area around the two overlapping plates with a crescent shaped hole...

Lubricated ( including overlapping plates ) and still no good, swapped for another lock and all good 😀😀 , thanks for all your replies 👍
