Hi all...can anyone help with advice on a 1850 exhaust clamp that attaches to the bracket on the auto gearbox..and goes around the front pipe.part number GEX 7499....as i cant seem to find one anywhere as mine was missing..any help would be appreciated..many thanks..

I'll have a look, I may have one , I'll need to look at the book first.

I think it hangs off the back of the extension casing near the back of the gearbox sump.

it wasn't the bracket I was thinking of, Rimmers quote a superseded number for GEX 7499; Clip - OYC007499EVA - Genuine MG Rover but that also seems to be unavailable.

Hi Malcolm..thanks ...yes not available and superseded indeed meaning not available.and cant find anywhere..hoping someone may have an old one after updating to a sports exhaust etc..as mine is a new standard club exhaust was trying to get the right bits....i think its called a C clamp bracket ?....appreciate you help ta.

I've got an original one on mine but I can't see why an ordinary exhaust clamp can't be used as a substitute.
