A quick question, what is the difference in speedo cables early and 1976 on sprint? It's a RHD car. Two partnumbers are listed gsd311 for early and gsd293 for late.

Re: speedocable sprint rhd
I think the actual speedo connection is different, one screws on and the other has a clip on arrangement.

Re: speedocable sprint rhd
Nope, all Sprint speedo's have a screw on cable...it's the smaller engined cars which clip on
The differences I've encountered is that one cable has the gearbox clamping fork integral to the cable whereas the other has a separate loose part for the fork clamp.

Re: speedocable sprint rhd
Had a hunch that the early speedo had a smaller diameter fitting for the cable but can't find a series 1 Sprint speedo in the shed to confirm or deny this. May have imagined it or be thinking of the GT6 speedo I put in the Carledo for a while.
I've seen the + or - locking tag cables but thought that was just the same thing from different makers. The fitting is identical but with one you don't have to worry about losing the little Y shaped bit during your 10 year resto!
