Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has fitted wooden door cappings to their cars that didn't have them from factory ?
Will I need the door cards to match, or is a case of trimming down my existing ones ?
Thanks in advance,

Yes.
It is possible to trim 1300 cards down, but I’d advise leaving the vinyl taller so it can wrap the top where you trim. Your doors will already have holes to receive the screws that fix the cappings. HL door cards have a furry strip at the bottom, but to be honest full vinyl can have better longevity.
If you have beige interior, I have a spare set of HL cards…

Cheers for the info xvivalve,
Had a feeling that maybe the case, but didn't wanna start cutting them without checking !
My interior is Beige, but I'm thinking of upgrading to the Rover seats at some point so may well dye mine black.
What kinda price did you have in mind (& willing to post) just to save me the hassle of cutting ?
Thanks again,
Wayne

As Alun said yes its an easy job, last time i done it i fitted triumph 1300 cappings, no real reason just that i have loads and they screw in through the wood as opposed to having the bracket.
if you want a set you're welcome to come and collect

Some people are like Slinky's, they serve no real purpose in life but bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
